GERIK: In promoting efforts to conserve and preserve rivers in Perak, Eco-Schools Perak organized the ‘Eco-Scribes Initiative: Young Journalists for River Restoration’ program at Dataran Loma, Gerik.

A total of 80 students from Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Bongor, SJKC Kuala Rui, SMK Batu 4 and SMK Bersia Felda participated in the program.

This initiative is a continuation of the ‘Litter Less Campaign’ organized by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), Denmark.

GERIK – Seramai 80 pelajar sekolah menengah dan rendah terlibat dalam aktiviti pembersihan pesisiran Sungai Rui, di Dataran Loma dekat sini, pada Sabtu.

Program Inisiatif Eco-Scribes: Wartawan Muda untuk Pemulihan Sungai anjuran bersama Perbadanan Menteri Besar Perak (MB Inc.) dan Green Growth Asia Foundation (GGAF) itu d isertai pelajar dari dari SK Bongor, SJKC Kuala Rui, SMK Batu 4 serta SMK Bersia Felda.

IPOH: The state government has received more than RM20mil in royalty payments since the pioneer non-radioactive rare earth element (NR-REE) project started in Perak.

Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said there could be more as there was a huge investment opportunity.

“Since we started in January this year, and up to October, we have received RM21.1mil royalty.
